Sisyrinchium angustifolium 'Lucerne'

Blue-eyed grass

‘Lucerne’ is a selection of the species with larger flowers; flowers are blue-violet with a yellow eye. This cultivar has proven to be very popular.

Despite the common name, blue-eyed grass, this species is not a grass, but belongs to the iris family. It grows well in moist to dry, well-drained soil; prefers full sun, but will tolerate light shade.
