A great choice for dry shade, yellow flowers brighten up the woodlands in the fall. This rhizomatous species is referred to as zigzag goldenrod because the stems are sometimes in a zigzag shape. Flowers are very attractive to bees and butterflies. Likes dry soils in a shady location.
