An excellent groundcover, Tiarella cordifolia, or creeping foam flower, consists of heart-shaped leaves and tiny white foamy-textured flowers. The plant is clump forming and spreads rapidly by runners, or stolons. It prefers average, medium, well-drained soil in part shade to full shade.
Tiarella cordifolia is used in herbology as a tonic and diuretic for kidney and liver issues. It is also believed to help with lung congestion.
