A warm season, low stature grass with delicate oat-like seed heads and green-tan foliage. Bouteloua curtipendula tolerates a wide range of conditions and is one of the most draught tolerant grasses. It combines well with lower growing wildflowers. Good for erosion control and considered a good foraging grass for livestock.
