Deschampsia flexuosa

Crinkled hairgrass

Similar to the D. caespitosa, but smaller, Deschampsia flexuosa has wonderfully arching flowers that have a crinkle to them and form a cloud over the foliage. A cool season grass that likes dry soil in partial to full shade. Will tolerate some moist soils, but really likes it best in dry areas.
