Baptisia x 'Purple Smoke'

Displaying desirable qualities of both plants, Baptisia ‘Purple Smoke’ is a natural hybrid between B. alba and B. australis. ‘Purple Smoke’ produces smoky violet blossoms with gray-green foliage and charcoal stems.

The plant develops a large taproot and is best left undisturbed once it has become established. Grows best in moist to dry soil in full sun. Drought tolerant.
