Clear yellow blooms, accented with deep brown anthers are held above yellowish green, fine textured foliage. Prefers a rich, well-drained soil, but still performs well in clay. Excellent choice for open woods and moist meadows. Attractive, 4-inch deep brown seed pods bring additional interest in the late summer and fall. A host plant for the Silver Spotted Skipper.
