Chelone lyonii 'Hot Lips'

Pink turtlehead

Selected for its red stems, ‘Hot Lips’ has medium pink flower spikes shaped like a turtle’s head. A beautiful plant for wet meadows and at pond edges.

The genus name Chelone has its roots in Greek mythology. Supposedly, Chelone was a nymph who insulted the gods and was turned into a turtle as punishment.
