An elegant hybrid of B. alba and B. sphaerocarpa, ‘Carolina Moonlight’ produces creamy butter yellow flowers on 18” spikes, which pair beautifully with the plants blue-green foliage. Flowers give way to inflated see pods, which were historically used as toy rattles.
This plant is exceptionally drought tolerant and does best in dry to moist soils in full sun to partial shade.
