Molinia caerulea ssp. arundinacea 'Windspiel'

Windspiel moor grass

Native to Europe & Asia (cultivar)

A selection with clump forming mounds 15-20" tall.  Flowering begins in June, reaching from 6-7' tall.  Leaves turn vibrant yellow in Autumn, and the flowers add winter structure and interest during the dark days of winter. Deer resistant, juglone tolerant and excellent for coastal plantings as they are salt and salt spray tolerant.

It is truly the autumn color that makes this a focal point.
